September Recap
A month of fruit & fungi bounty, cakes, and work overwhelm.
September has felt like an energetic mixed bag. Slow down— (after summer madness) and hurry up! (As work and pregnancy gears up). It’s been a month of waking up early— usually prompted by my daughter’s first early waking around 4:30-5. I try to go back to sleep once she’s been settled, but often times my mind is racing, and I lie in bed doing a crossword on my phone for a while, before being too overpowered by ravenous early morning pregnancy hunger, and creeping out of bed. There is something about this time of year that feels full of possibility. The dark has not fully engulfed us yet, which will make it harder to wake early in coming months. The sunny days don’t feel quite as arduous to me as they did in summer, now that they’re accompanied by cool nights and interspersed with drizzly gray days.
