Happy (belated) Hourly Comics Day! I started participating in this annual February 1st tradition amongst the illustration community in 2022 when I was pregnant with Hazel. And now, lo and behold, another Hourly Comics Day and this year, another pregnancy!
(You can see an archive of all the years I’ve done it HERE)
Needless to say, that first year was the most comprehensive, as I didn’t have a small, biological kid yet, and was already on maternity leave, so I was able to pour pretty much the entire day into chronicling the little things Peter and I were doing around the house. Even though subsequent years have been more difficult to pull off, it’s remained one of my favorite traditions, and I love having these little time capsules of my usually very boring days to look back on.
So, without further ado, here is my 2025 day. I can’t say I got to every hour. But the fact that I did as much as I did, on a weekend with 3 year old and almost 38 weeks pregnant, honestly feels like a massive success!
Today for Tiny Things I’ll highlight some other illustration folks I’ve seen doing Hourly Comics Day! I haven’t actually had time to be on social media much today and yesterday, and I think some people are posting late, like me, and more on Substack and stuff. So I’ll probably keep updating this list as I find new good ones. Who am I spacing out on including?? Let me know if there’s any great ones you’ve seen!
