About August...

an UPDATE on LWH Live shows + pictures from the first one

I can’t believe it’s already been a MONTH since we premiered Little Witch Hazel LIVE. The whole experience was such an incredible whirlwind— a totally magical hurricane of creativity and community. Multiple separate groups of people came from as far as Salt Lake City, San Francisco, and Portland to see the show! I was so incredibly blown away. There’s so much that I want to say, and share photos of, but for now I’m going to keep it brief, because (though I feel like I’m perennially saying this?) it’s a bit of a nuts time, and my brain is feeling quite scattered as a result.

My husband broke his leg two weeks ago— which has flung our summer plans into chaos as we adjust to a new normal with one mobile parent. My work time is greatly reduced due to needing to do more parenting duties— and as a result;

I unfortunately made the call to postpone the August Little Witch Hazel LIVE shows.

I’m so sorry for anyone who was looking forward to coming in August. It was a hard decision to make, but it just doesn’t feel possible to take on another weekend of shows when the production requires so much of Peter’s childcare labor in order to be pulled off (as well as his expert set assembly!).

The plan is to instead shift Bellingham shows into late September sometime— and we are continuing to plan a short PNW tour (likely just Seattle, Port Townsend, and maybe Olympia for now). We are trying to find an appropriate venue in Bellingham that also has higher seating capacity, while maintaining a cozy feel, so that more folks will be able to attend.

Thank you so much for your understanding— and for being so supportive of the show! It has meant so much for this production to be met with so much enthusiasm, when it is so outside of my usual purview as an artist. I’m constantly amazed by your love for Little Witch Hazel’s world, and I can’t wait to share this show with more people.
